TOWN OF MENASHA – The Wrightstown softball team remained unbeaten and picked up a win in its first Olympian Conference game of the season by beating St. Mary Central 7-5 lat Thursday.

The Tiger and Zephyrs traded the lead back and forth four times. SMC led 5-3 at the end of five, but Wrightstown scored three runs on two doubles – by Ali Verbeten and Wrenn Tanck – in the sixth, and added an insurance run in the seventh

The Tigers out-hit the Zephyrs 11-8.

WHS junior pitcher Brianna Linzmeier had a strong outing.
