The Brillion News
BRILLION – The Brillion Lions will be playing the Wrightstown Tigers on Friday, Sept. 26 in this year’s Homecoming game, and while Homecoming is always special – this year will be even more special.
Before the game, the Brillion football program will be recognizing the 30th anniversary of the first state football championship in Brillion School history.
“This event still is special to our school and community and we would like to recognize the players that were part of that memorable 1984 team,” Brillion athletic director Jeff Schlender said.
But that’s not the only celebration.
Brillion will also be recognizing the 10th anniversary of the 2004 state football championship team as well.
Both championship teams will be honored with a special announcement prior to the game and all team members present will be asked to assemble on the field at 6:40 p.m.
Following the game there will be a social at Cobblestone Creek for all former players to get together and share memories of their eventful seasons.
