TOWN OF WRIGHTSTOWN – In a letter addressed to Alleluia Lutheran Church in rural Wrightstown, and to Christ Lutheran Church in Nebraska’s capital city, the Rev. Aaron Hutton announced that he has accepted a call to serve at the Lincoln, Nebraska, church and will be leaving Wrightstown in May.
Hutton earlier resigned his position as Wrightstown High School boys’ varsity soccer co-head coach.
In his letter, dated March 29, Hutton said his farewell Sunday at Alleluia Lutheran Church would be May 7 – shortly after he returns from a mission trip to Uganda. He is scheduled to be installed at the Lincoln church on June 11.
Hutton and his wife, Krissy, have been at Alleluia for eight years. It was his first pastoral call after graduating from the Missouri Synod seminary. He succeeded the Rev. Robert Selle, Alleluia’s founding pastor.
Selle and his wife, Penny, are retired and living in Poy Sippi. They served many years in foreign missions, primarily in southeast Asia.
