MIDDLETON – Wrightstown head football Coach Steve Klister, a math instructor at the high school, will be inducted into the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame on March 24, 2018.
Klister and Bill Ehnerd were co-head coaches for many years following the death of former coach Walt Maki, a cancer victim. Klister then served as an assistant coach under Matt Binsfeld, and returned as solo head coach when Binsfeld left to become head coach at Kaukauna High School, his alma mater.
Prior inductees from our area include Hilbert head coach Mike Moreau (2003), Wrightstown assistant coach Larry Brick (2008), Wrightstown head coach Bill Ehnerd (2015) and Brillion head coach Peter Kitttel (2016).
A complete story on Klister’s selection will be featured in the July 27 print edition of THE BRILLION NEWS.
