HILBERT – The Hilbert Village Board will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. on Monday, January 22, to tie up loose ends on a state grant to help businessman Todd Thiel develop a high-end convenience store at the former of Eighth and Main Streets.
The meeting is open to the public.
The agenda items call for discussion and possible action regarding the agreement between the village and Thiel, and discussion/action on hiring Cedar Corporation to administer the grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
In a separate matter, the board will go into closed session to “discuss the possibility of pursuing to purchase public property and investing public finds.” After that closed session, the board will return to open session, and could take action on the matter.
