Governor Tony Evers announced on Friday that a mandated closure of all schools in the state - public and private - will begin next week, Wednesday, March 18 due to concerns of the COVID-19 virus.

The closure will last until at least Monday, April 6, which would mean a closure of at least 13 school days.

"Today, I directed @DHSWI to issue an agency order mandating the closure of all K-12 Wisconsin schools, public and private, as part of our efforts to respond to and contain the spread of COVID-19 in Wisconsin," Evers wrote on his official Twitter page.
