OBITUARY: Amanda M. Wittmann

Amanda M. Wittmann, age 29, of Brillion, passed away suddenly due to a blood clot in her brain, on August 14, 2017 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Appleton, surrounded by her family and friends whom she loved and who loved her so very much.

Amanda always had a mission, lived her short life to the fullest, was pure at heart, always so happy, and just fun to be around.  She had a presence about her.  She was just amazing.  And all of her close friends were just as amazing.  She volunteered in Austin at the homeless shelter and the soup kitchen.  She gave of herself, always to help try and make this world a better place.  Even in death, Amanda chose to be an organ and tissue donor, helping to save several lives.  She will have a ‘green’ burial so that she can assist the earth in its natural process of life.

Amanda is survived by her parents: John (Lori) Wittmann and Laura Bonnet; her siblings: Travis, Mariah, Lorin, and Vince Wittmann; her fur baby: Lucy; maternal great-grandmother: Kathryn Gladheim; paternal grandparents: Joe and Olivia Wittmann; maternal grandparents: Ron (Jan) Bonnet and Linda Bonnet; aunts and uncles: Jaclynn (Mike) Luebke, Teri (Ed) Danke, Michelle (Jeff) Lauson, Tanya (Dave) Pahl, Joe (John) Wittmann, Paul Wittmann, Richard Wittmann, Linda (John) Schell, Laura (Max) Mirhashemi, and Mike (Katherine) Wittmann; her goddaughter: Madison Pahl; many cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her great-parents: Ordean Gladheim, Ed (Eleanor) Striha, Joe (Irma) Wittmann, Paul Jansen, and Mildred Jansen.

A celebration of life memorial service will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2017 at the Wieting Funeral Home, 215 S. Main St. in Brillion.  A private family burial ceremony has taken place at Riverside Cemetery in Appleton.
