WRIGHTSTOWN – In unanimous votes on Wednesday evening, December 18, the Wrightstown Community School District Board of Education approved two companion motions that set a referendum vote for the April 7, 2020, general election. At issue is a $28.7 million proposal for additions to the elementary school, a small addition to the middle school building, infrastructure upgrades at all three schools, and campus security upgrades.
The question is a “not to exceed” request. The actual final designs for the proposed capital investments have not been established.
Superintendent Carla Buboltz said the district will be running a comprehensive information campaign, but it cannot ask for a “yes” vote by district electors.
The April 7 election also features county board and municipal elections, as well as the state’s presidential preference primary. It is expected to draw a heavy voter turnout.
The district includes all or portions of the Village of Wrightstown and the towns of Brillion, Kaukauna, Morrison, Holland, Wrightstown, Rockland and Lawrence.
