Deborah Kay Doemel
Deborah Kay Doemel, age 62, of Reedsville, Wisconsin, passed away at her home on September 25, 2012 with her family by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Deborah was born in Merrill, Wisconsin on April 23, 1950, daughter of the late Alfred and Lucille (Krueger) Strozewski. She grew up in Neenah, Wisconsin. On August 11, 1973 Deborah married Jeffrey G. Doemel in Neenah. She was employed as a Radiologic Technologist for 42 years and was a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists. Deborah was a member of St. John St. James Lutheran Church since 1977. She is survived by her husband Jeffrey G. Doemel of 39 years; three children, Jessica (Chris) Barber, Angela (Matthew) Doemel, and Jason (Gary) Doemel; two grandchildren, Lucas Barber and Ethan Richards; two sisters, Kathy Berndt and Karen (John) Knabenbauer; and a brother, Harold Strozewski; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother Paul Michael, father-in-law and mother-in-law George and Delores Doemel, and a brother-in-law Gene Berndt. Funeral Service will be held at 11 00 a.m. on Friday, September 28 at St. John St. James Lutheran Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Timothy Nommensen. Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home in Reedsville, 15 7th Street, on Thursday, September 27, 2012 from 6 00 p.m. until 8 00 p.m. The visitation will continue at church on Friday from 10 00 a.m. until the time of service at 11 00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the American Cancer Society in Deborah’s name. Deborah was one tough cookie, despite the challenges life threw at her. She was an inspiration to all who met her and was a shining example of strength and selflessness. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and playing with her grandsons.
