Joan “Jo” Harms

Joan “Jo” Harms, age 77 of Brillion, died on Friday July 20, 2012 at Appleton Medical Center. She was born on July 22, 1934, in Lancaster County Nebraska, daughter of the late Francis Everette and Maureen (Van Kirk) Hedges. Jo graduated from Waverly High School in 1952 and the University of Nebraska in 1956 with her B.A. in Elementary Education. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Brillion, the United Methodist Women, Brillion Red Hatters, and the Cedar Falls Iowa Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include her husband Clarence, a son Steven of Prescott AZ. a daughter Lauri (Steve) Tredinnick of Madison, 2 granddaughters Katie and Lizzie, 2 sisters-in-law Lorette Hedges of Lee’s Summit MO. and Ruth Pinckney of Wheatland MO. and many other relatives and friends. Jo was preceded in death by her son David on December 21, 1983 and her brother David Hedges. Funeral service will be held on Monday July 23 at 11 00 a.m. at Faith United Methodist Church in Brillion. The Rev. Susan Safford-Gaul will officiate. Burial will be in the Wyuka Cemetery in Lincoln Nebraska. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 9 00 a.m. until the time of service.
