Orville H. Woldt
Orville H. Woldt of Brillion, WI, was peacefully called to our Lord on November 9, 2012, at the age of 78 years with his family by his side. Loving and devoted husband of Erna for 54 years, and beloved father of Veronica Woldt of Franklin, WI and Monica Woldt of Washington, DC. Orville served as a Specialist Third Class in the U.S. Army with the 599th Armored Field Artillery Battalion in Germany, where he met and married Erna. Upon their return to the United States, Orville worked as a cheese maker and carpenter. Orville spent most of his career with the Ariens Company in Brillion, WI, where he became a supervisor, proudly serving the company over 30 years. Orville was an avid bowler and earned 17 trophies in this sport he so loved. He also loved Germany, which always had a very special place in his heart. He was very fond of Bavaria, enjoying the culture of polka and other music as well as the beautiful scenery. As a hard working individual, Orville helped build several homes and was skilled in tackling any remodeling or fix up job around the home. He also enjoyed working in the garden, lawn care, and flower planting with his family. Orville is survived by his wife, Erna, daughters, Veronica and Monica, sister Jeanette Loppnow and nephews and a niece. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Alma Woldt, one sister, Delores Woldt, two brothers, Harold and Elroy Woldt, three brothers-in-law, Edwin Loppnow, Manfred Jakob and Walter Jakob and sister-in-law, Frieda Hucek. Visitation will be at Zion Lutheran Church, 8378 County Road W, Wayside, WI on November 14, 2012, from 9 00-11 00 am. Funeral services will be held at 11 00 am at Zion with Rev. Steven Kline officiating. Burial in the church cemetery with military honors accorded. Memorials appreciated to Zion Lutheran Church. Nickel Funeral Home, Morrison, assisting the family.
