Veronica Ann (Pritzl) Voss
Veronica Ann (Pritzl) Voss, age 96 of Brillion, entered into eternal life on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Rivers Bend Health & Rehabilitation in Manitowoc from complications of Alzheimer’s disease. She was born on December 24, 1915 in Brillion, daughter of the late Louis J. and Anna (Eigenberger) Pritzl. She was united in marriage to Earl J. Voss on January 24, 1942 in Brillion. He preceded her in death on November 14, 2000. She and Earl farmed on the Voss Homestead for 36 years. Veronica was known as a loving, hospitable lady who always found room and food for unexpected guests at her table. Her beautiful smile and kind heart will be greatly missed. She loved children, particularly her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and even during her struggle with Alzheimer’s, nothing brought a smile to her face as quickly as the sight of a child. Veronica was a woman of strong faith and was a devout member of Holy Family Parish in Brillion, where she had the honor of being the oldest parishioner at the time of her death. She also was a lifetime member of Holy Family Christian Mothers Society. Survivors include her children, Peggy (Ben) Peters of Brillion, Susan (James) Goll of Appleton, James (Mary) Voss of Warrenton, VA; her grandchildren, Ben Peters III of Brillion, Angie (Nathan) Wright of Howards Grove, Jenny (Rich) DeBauche of Mishicot, Jake (Katie) Peters of Menomonee Falls, Sherri (Matthias) Lester of Longmont, CO, Lora (Merle) Verhagen of Appleton, Sr. Mary Elizabeth Voss of St. Louis, MO, Molly (Brian) Rubino of Ashburn, VA, Annie (Andy) Surine of Falls Church, VA, her great grandchildren, Elijah Wright, Peyton, Ava, and Joshua Verhagen, Dominic, Gabriella, Juliana, Augustine, Elizabeth, Sam, and Cecilia Rubino, Luke Surine, Anthony and Anastasia Lester. She is further survived by a sister Dorothy (Larry) Kubale of Middleton, and a brother-in-law Edgar Voss of Brillion. She was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law Mary (Walter) Lashua, and three brothers and sisters-in-law, Louis (Lucille) Pritzl, Arthur (Bernice) Pritzl, and Elmer (Julia) Pritzl. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 18, 2012 at 11 00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion. The Rev. Timothy Brandt will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 9 00 a.m. to 10 45 a.m. with Mass to follow at 11 00 a.m. The Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion is assisting the family with arrangements.
