Norman F. Resch
Norman F. Resch, age 88, of rural Reedsville, died on Thursday December 29, 2011 at Calumet Medical Center in Chilton. He was born October 21, 1923 in Oshkosh, son of the late Louis & Margaret (Wilhelm) Resch. On October 28, 1944 he married Mary Duggan at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Maple Grove. He farmed in the Town of Maple Grove his entire life. Norman loved his family, his farm, and his Catholic faith. He was a member of St. Joseph Oratory in Green Bay where he faithfully attended traditional Latin Mass. Survivors include his wife Mary, his children, Rosalie Aimers of Green Bay. Bernard Resch on the homestead, Mary Tennessen of Kaukauna, Michael Resch and Anthony Resch both on the homestead, 3 grandchildren 7 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Margaret (John) Gwidt of Pulaski, Mary (Elmer) Phipps of Reedsville, a brother Joseph (Bernice) Resch of Whitelaw and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Chad, 2 brothers Harry and Louie, and a sister Dorothy Preston. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday January 3, 2012 at St. Joseph Oratory, 1825 S Riverside Dr (Hwy57) in Green Bay, at 11 00 a.m. The Rev. Andreas Hellmann will officiate. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery in Maple Grove. Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home in Reedsville on Monday from 4 00-9 00 p.m. There will be no visitation before mass on Tuesday.

Grandpa, I know you are home now and at peace. God has restored your memory and your health. I do not cry for you, I selfishly cry for myself. I wish I could have said “God bless you”, or hugged you one more time. I will never forget walking with you to bring the cows home or riding on the tractor in the field, you were always so protective, so strong.
