Budget committee to take on-line input

MADISON - State Representative Mark Born, R-Beaver Dam, and Senator Howard Marklein, R-Spring Green, Co-Chairs of the Joint Committee on Finance (JFC), announced the details for registration for the Virtual Public Hearing of the JFC on April 28, 2021.

This is the virtual opportunity for people to have input into the 2021-2023 state budget.

Registration for the virtual public hearing will open on Monday, April 19, 2021 at 10 a.m. The link for registration will be available on the following website: https://legis.wisconsin.gov/topics/budgetcomments/virtual/


Registration will close on Monday, April 26, 2021 at 5:00 p.m.

Registrations will be taken on a first come–first served basis and registrants must be a resident of Wisconsin.

Advocacy organizations are asked to limit sign-up to two (2) people per organization. This will ensure that everyone who would like to testify has an opportunity to speak to the committee.


Everyone is invited and encouraged to watch the public hearing on WisconsinEye.

As always, members of the public may submit budget comments by emailing budgetcomments@legis.wisconsin.gov, by filling out the online form at https://legis.wisconsin.gov/topics/budgetcomments or via US Mail to Joe Malkasian, Room 305 East, State Capitol, Madison, WI 53702.
