MORRISON - The Morrison Town Board will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, to discuss concerns related to plans for manure digester and solar power plant just north of the community of Wayside.

That meeting will take place at the town hall.

The proposal by the Collins and Wayside dairy farms calls for them to jointly operate a manure processing plant that produces methane gas for sale to a natural gas pipeline company, with the plant being run "off the grid" by power generated using a seven-acre solar panel field.

ICE, ICE GO AWAY

WRIGHTSTOWN - On Thursday, January 7, at 6 p.m., the Wrightstown Village Board's Public Works and Utilities Committee will hold a special meeting to review the village's snow removal guidelines and address complaints from some village residents, who complained that plows left too much ice on the roadway after a December snow and slush storm.

That meeting will take place in Village Hall Conference Room C.

Some residents said the ice made a dangerous situation for walkers and joggers in neighborhoods without sidewalks. Village officials said they have to balance that with budget realities.
