GREENLEAF – A truck and semi-trailer hauling bulk milk overturned onto its side while going through the Greenleaf roundabout on Monday afternoon (June 10).

The tank, filled fluid with milk, partially ruptured. As a result, the Greenleaf Vol. Fire Department and Brown County Public Works Department/Highways built a dam around the trailer to contain the spilling milk and keep it out of storm sewers.

The driver did not appear to be injured and was sitting on the side of the road as crews from the fire department, highway shops and Fox Valley Septic Service handled the spill.

Traffic eastbound and westbound on State 96 had to be detoured over side streets, as did southbound traffic on State 57/32. Only traffic northbound on State 57/32 was able to go through the intersection.

There have been other semis that have toppled in the same roundabout in the past.
