TOWN OF WRIGHTSTOWN - There is a new proposal for a manure digester, and this one is right next to the Village of Wrightstown limits on the west side of the Fox River.

The Town of Wrightstown Planning Commission will get a look at the plan by Tinedale Farms for a two-tank manure digester, to be powered by electricity produced by a field of solar panels.

The plan is similar to a solar-powered manure digester proposed just north of the borough of Wayside in the Town of Morrison as a joint venture of the Collins and Wayside dairy farms.

The Town of Wrightstown Planning Commission will meet in open session at the town hall in Greenleaf at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 5, to get the first look at the Tinedale proposal, which will require a conditional use permit from the town board.

The town board has set a public hearing for the proposal for 6:50 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, also at the town hall. The hearing allows for public input before the town board makes its decision on the conditional use permit at the town board meeting at 7 p.m.
