New Delhi, February 13, 2019: The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today approved the revised teaching and learning materials for the year 2022 HSC Examination. To achieve this, the HSC Council was constituted in December, 2018 to improve the quality of education of students at the HSC level and to enhance the standards of the HSC Examination. This included the establishment of two new Board for School Education - Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and . The HSC Council is chaired by the Chief Education Commissioner (CEC), Shri Vinod Thomas. Other members of the council are - the Principal Secretary to the Government of India in the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) and School Education (MoS, HRD), Mr. T. . S. Kumari, Ms. P. . V. S. . P. S. Kanaka. Secretary School Education (MoS, HRD), Dr. A. . A. . Convener HSC Council. The HSC Council has devised the Revised HSC Course- wise Syllabus and is in the process of making available Syllabus for all subjects of HSC and also revised set books for the year 2022 based on the suggested revision. The material has been released to all the States on the e-learning portal of Department of School Education, Government of India. . Any change in syllabus would require the approval of the Council. A copy of Revised HSC Course- wise Syllabus and Revised HSC Set Books for the year 2022 is attached herewith. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) New Delhi: While the Higher Secondary Council is trying to bring in uniformity in the medium of instruction across the country, the government has also introduced the National Eligibility Test or NET in an attempt to make the HSC competitive. The Class 10 exam will be conducted by the CBSE board for admission to engineering colleges in States with a compulsory-attendance quota for the Class 10 students. The HSC exam will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in December. The HSC marks will be decided by the CBSE whereas the Combined Medical Services (CMS) exam will be conducted by the Indian Medical Service (IMS) commission.
