Mary Lou De Munck

Mary Lou De Munck, age 70, of Appleton, previously of Brillion, passed on to Eternal Life in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, March 23, 2012, amongst her family members at he daughter’s home where she lived for the past 14 months, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mary Lou was born on Feb. 7, 1942, in Appleton, to the late Leo and Agnes (Blob) Kuchelmeister. She married Bill De Munck on Jan. 30, 1960; he preceded her in death. Mary Lou worked at several places throughout the years, most recently at Norka Company Inc. where she retired from in January 2006. Mary Lou’s favorite pastimes include spending time with family and friends and taking care of her grand dog, Bentley. She also enjoyed going up north, playing cards and going out to eat with Ralph. Mary Lou was a kind, wonderful and gentle person; a beautiful and loving mother and best friend.
Survivors include her daughter, Kelly Johnson (her caregiver) of Appleton; her son, Pete De Munck (Amy Wallander) of Brillion; her son, Frank (Cindy) Ujazdowski of Appleton; and her daughter, Cathy (Jim) Calvetti of Eagle River. Twelve grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren also survive. Mary Lou is further survived by her brother-in-law, Roy De Munck of Kimberly; her sister-in-law, Donna (Dick) Schevers of Kaukauna; her niece, Kathy Maass of Oneida; her nephew, Tony Schevers of Kaukauna; her grand cat, Baby Girl; and cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by the love of her life and caregiver, Ralph Ujazdowski.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Timothy Goggins and his staff; Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology SC; Heartland Hospice, especially Nikki, Jeniffer, Barbie and Julie, who gave Mary Lou unconditional love and compassion throughout her care. The family would also like to thank all those friends and family that paid special visits to Mary Lou the past several months, especially to Mary Boeings and Donna Schevers for all the time they put into helping Kelley with the care of Mary Lou.
Mary Lou will be sadly missed by many family members and friends. A memorial has been established in her name. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com. A private memorial service will be held.
