7 AM Crash: Whitelaw man badly injured

TOWN OF KOSSUTH – A 25-year old rural Whitelaw man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash just after 7 a.m. Wednesday, July 27.

Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Inspector Gregg Schetter said it happened just outside Francis Creek, north of Polifka Road, when a northbound Pontiac on County R crossed the centerline and went into the west ditch, hitting a driveway embankment and tree.

The driver, alone in the car, was ejected. He was airlifted from the scene by the Eagle III EMS helicopter to the BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.

Assisting the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department at the scene were the Francis Creek Fire Department, Francis Creek EMS First Responders, Manitowoc Fire-Ambulance, and the Manitowoc County Highway Department
