Brackets set for volleyball, soccer playoffs

STEVENS POINT - The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) unveiled playoff brackets for girls' volleyball and boys' soccer, and they are thin indeed.

In volleyball, Brillion and Wrightstown open in Division 2 by playing each other on Tuesday, October 20 at Wrightstown at 7 p.m. The winner plays Chilton at Chilton on Thursday, October 22.

In Division 3, Reedsville opens at Mishicot, playing the host Indians, on Thursday, October 22, at 7 p.m.

Hilbert also has a first-round bye, and opens on Thursday, October 22, by hosting the winner of the October 20 matchup between Sheboygan Lutheran and St. Mary Catholic at SMC.

In Division 4, Stockbridge opens on October 22 at 7 p.m. at Oshkosh Lourdes.

In boys' soccer, in Division 3, Wrightstown hosts Green Bay NEW Lutheran/Providence Academy, at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct 22, with the winner playing Kiel at Kiel on Saturday, October 24 at 7 p.m.

Stockbridge was eligible for the Division 3 soccer playoffs, but opted out of the tournament.
