Brillion Optimists collecting school supplies

BRILLION – The Brillion Optimist Club is conducting a “Back to School Supply Drive” during the weeks leading up to school.

Tote bags will be located around Brillion to collect school supplies. The supplies will be collected on August 20 and distributed to all area schools.

The club is collecting all supplies including backpacks and miscellaneous items for classrooms like sanitizer and tissues. A specific supply list will be available in each tote bag. Monetary donations are also accepted and will be applied towards Chromebook purchases. SOS Computer Services in Brillion offers Chromebooks. Monetary donations can be given to the business where the tote bags are located.

The collection coincides with the Wisconsin tax free holiday that started on August 1 and goes through Sunday, August 5.

Locations with collection totes include: Brillion Community Center, Romenesko Family Dentistry, Shopko, SOS Computer Services, State Bank of Chilton, Tadych’s Econofoods and Zander Press.
