Brillion woman dies in Rantoul car crash

TOWN OF RANTOUL - An 89-year-old Brillion woman died in a two-vehicle crash in the Town of Rantoul on Wednesday afternoon.

The Calumet County Sheriff's Department released the information on Thursday that the crash happened at the intersection of Irish Road and CTH E about 2:36 p.m.

An 18-year-old woman from Chilton was uninjured in the accident. The preliminary investigation revealed that a failure to yield right of way appeared to be a factor.

The crash remains under investigation. Names of those involved were being withheld at the time of the press release.

The Calumet County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Gold Cross, Hilbert-Potter First Responders, Potter Fire Department, Chilton Fire Department, Calumet County Emergency Management, Chilton Police Department, State Patrol and the medical examiner office.
