WISCONSIN DELLS – A Wrightstown High School graduate and student at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse was chosen as the state’s Fairest of the Fairs for 2019.
Meghan Buechel was chosen after competition among all of the 2018 county “Fairest of the Fair” representatives from throughout the state. Meghan, who works at the Mid-Vallee Golf Course, was the 2018 Brown County Fairest of the Fair
She was selected at a pageant at the Chula Vista Resort, during the January 8-9 annual convention of the Wisconsin Association of Fairs. The convention is both a gala event and a working meeting, where most local fairs line up grandstand entertainment, smaller shows, and midway ride vendors.
Meghan Buechel is the daughter of William and Jennifer Buechel of the Town of Wrightstown.
The first runner up was Sharla Boehlke of Ozaukee County; second runner up was Molly Meilquham of the Northern Wisconsin State Fair; third runner up was Morgan Ryniah of Outagamie County; and the fourth runner up was Emily Franke of Fond du Lac County.
The Fairest of the Fairs travels throughout the state promoting county and regional fairs.
