Crash outside Wrightstown injures motorcyclist

TOWN OF KAUKAUNA - A 20-year olf motorcycle operator was badly injured in a crash just west of Wrightstown on State 96.


It happened around 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2, at the intersection of 96 with Outagamie County JJ/River Bend Drive, when a car failed to yield from a stop sign and collided with the motorcycle.

At 4:06 p.m. Kaukauna First Responders, the Vandenbroek-Kaukauna Fire Department and Gold Cross Ambulance were dispatched to the scene, along with the Outagamie County Sheriff's Department, the State Patrol, and Kaukauna city police.


The motorcyclist's injuries were significant and he was airlifted to an area hospital by the

ThedaStar EMS helicopter, which landed at Fox Valley Wood Products.

The man's name and community of residence were not released.


Sheriff's Sgt. Wang Lee said the intersection was closed to all traffic for over an hour.
