Fastenal ready for new location

BRILLION – After 10 years at 700 Northway Drive in Brillion, store General Manager William Karl is ecstatic for Fastenal’s new location at 705 North Main Street, across from Kwik Trip.

“We kind of fell in love with the spot,” Karl said. “It’s a gigantic space.”

The reason for the change was simple: many people in town didn’t even know Fastenal was in Brillion.

“People didn’t really know we were in town. The visibility wasn’t there for us,” Karl said.

According to Karl, even customers that the store serves in Chilton and New Holstein were surprised to find out they were coming from Brillion.

Other customers never found the previous location behind Horn Ford.

“It became very apparent that they didn’t know where we were,” Karl said.

Karl has been the general manager of the Brillion location since last summer and is happy the store stayed in Brillion.

“We came to realize we wanted to be in Brillion. We chose to be in Brillion. We wanted to stay here,” Karl said. “Cheryl Welch was very active in trying to make sure that we knew what facilities were open.”
