APPLETON – Former Calumet County District Attorney Ken Kratz has written a new book, telling the story of Steven Avery and the murder of Teresa Halbach from his perspective.

The book, Avery: The Case Against Steven Avery and What ‘Making a Murderer’ Gets Wrong, will be released for sale on February 21.

On-line bookseller amazon.com is already taking preorders.

The pitch for the book says “This book tells you what ‘Making a Murderer’ didn’t.” The publisher says that the book tells what the Netflix series left out and the book “shares details and insights” that the public never knew about.

The book reportedly also reveals the problems that Kratz had in his personal life that led to his downfall as the prosecutor in Calumet County.

Note: The Brillion News is obtaining an advance copy of the book and will review it in February.
