Lions finish regular season 26-4, receive No. 3 seed

The Brillion News

HILBERT – The Brillion volleyball team completed one of the best regular seasons in program history with a 3-0 win against Hilbert on Thursday night.

With the win, the Lions finished 26-4 overall as the team prepares for the playoffs next week.

“I think because we’re so close as a team that it helped us play on the court together, and just have energy,” junior Emma Schuh said after Thursday’s match.

“They have a great bond with each other,” Coach Cari Krepline said. “I think the morale of their friendship and getting along outside of the game and on the court makes a big difference.”

The Lions received a No. 3 seed and will play the winner of No. 6 Chilton and No. 11 New Holstein on Thursday night in the regional semifinal.

A full article on Brillion volleyball and photos from Thursday’s match will be featured in the Oct. 23 print edition of The Brillion News.
