MARIBEL – A 69-year old Green Bay man was demolishing a shed at 12327 County T, between Maribel and Kellnersville, when the roof collapsed and pinned him to the ground.

It happened shortly after 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 27, according to Deputy Inspector Jason Orth of the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies and EMS personnel were able to rescue the man from under the rubble and he was taken by ambulance to the Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay. His injuries are not life threatening.

Orth said the building was about 12 feet by 20 feet in size and much of the wall structure had been demolished before the rafters and roof collapsed.

Responding to the scene were sheriff’s deputies, the Maribel Fire Department, Maribel EMS First Responders, and Country Rescue Services Ambulance.
