UPDATED: Maribel native killed in foggy wreck

TOWN OF LUXEMBURG - Kewaunee County Sheriff Matt Joski said that a 19-year old male from Green Bay and Maribel was the young man killed in a Christmas Eve single vehicle crash at the intersection of Kewaunee County V and Kewaunee County N.


The Brillion News has learned that the victim grew up in Maribel and has family there. His name is Kyle Barr. Funeral services are being handled by Malcore of Green Bay.



The victim's vehicle hit a utility pole at the T-intersection at 7:20 p.m. in thick fog. He was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene from his injuries.

The Kewaunee County Sheriff's Department. Luxemburg Rescue and Luxemberg Fire Department all attended the scene.

The intersection is an offset-T.

Barr was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy, and was scheduled to join the U.S. Marine Corps in January. The only memorials sought by the family are donations to k9sforwarriorsorg.
