GREEN BAY – A 46-year old De Pere man will be sentenced on September 11 for killing a 2017 Wrightstown High School graduate and her mother.

David Meyer pled “nolo contendere” for the deaths of 44-year old Rebecca Pennenberg and her daughter, Raelia, 18, in August of 2017. It happened as the two women were walking along French Road, the I-41 east side frontage road, in the Town of Lawrence, justy south of County S, in the evening. Meyer’s car hit the two as they were walking on the edge of the road.

Meyer was heading home from a golf outing and was convicted on two counts of homicide by use of a motor vehicle while having a prohibited alcohol content (estimated at .219). Rebecca and Raelia died at the scene.

Brown County Circuit Court Judge William Atkinson revoked Meyer’s bond and ordered him held for sentencing. Meyer faces up to 50 years in prison when sentenced.
