OBITUARY:  Bernice M. Tamm

Bernice M. Tamm, age 95, of Brillion, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Westhaven Assisted Living Center.

Bernice was born on July 10, 1922 in Brillion, daughter of the late Phillip and Laura (Schmeichel) Bastian. She married Delton Tamm on November 30, 1946 at the Methodist Church in Clintonville, Wisconsin.  He preceded her in death on June 13, 2001.  The couple owned and operated their farm together until retirement.  Bernice was an active member of the Rural Brillion United Methodist Church, a devout Christian, and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children and their spouses: Garry (Lynn) of Brillion, Marilyn (Dean) Flowers of Pewaukee, Faye (Bruce) La Mere of Tomahawk, Brian (Denise) of Brillion, and Betsy (Paul) Erickson of Green Bay; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law: Elda Redmann of Shawano; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and two-sisters-in-law: Frebert (Roma) Bastian and LeRoy (Vera) Bastian, one sister and three brothers-in-law: Vermay (Willard) Boettcher, Russell (Doris) Tamm, and Arlin Redmann, and other relatives.

Friends may call at Camp Forest in Forest Junction, Wisconsin, on Monday, June 25, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:15 a.m.  A celebration of Bernice’s life will follow the visitation. Leading the service will be Pastor Linn Wittmann and Rev. Sang You.  Burial will be in the Brillion Community Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Westhaven and Heartland Hospice for their care and compassion toward Mom.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Outer Limits Youth Center in Forest Junction, WRVM Radio Station in Suring, or Zion United Methodist Church in Bernice’s name.
