OBITUARY: Billy Verbeten

Billy Verbeten, 39, Greenleaf, passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening January 3, 2021.



He was born June 15, 1981 to William and Sharon (Rietz) Verbeten. Billy was a graduate of Wrightstown High School and UW Stevens Point with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, Baseball and riding his motorcycle. Billy also enjoyed wrestling, Football and Track in High School. He had coached wrestling at Wrightstown High School and was presently coaching wrestling at Reedsville High School. He was employed in mechanical assembly at Infinity Machine & Engineering in

De Pere.

He is survived by his parents, William and Sharon, his siblings; Matt (Michelle Gilson) Verbeten, Keith Verbeten and Laura Jordan, Christine Verbeten and Matt Schmidt, Donald (Melissa Landwehr) Verbeten, and Stephanie Verbeten. His nieces and nephews; Cole, Kaden, Kyler, Kiersten, Carlie, Hayley, Cierra, Wyatt, Kyra, Wesley, Bryce, Braylynn, Brevin, Braxton, Tristen, Henry, and Gage. He is further survived by his grandmother Elaine Rietz, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his Grandpa Donald Rietz, and grandparents William and Coletta Verbeten.


Friends may call after 8:00AM on Saturday January 9, 2021 at St. Clare Catholic Church- Askeaton Site, until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00PM with Fr. Brian Wideman officiating. Burial to follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Greenleaf (Morrison).


The family requests no plants or flowers please, a memorial fund will be established. Nickel Funeral Home, Morrison is assisting the family with arrangements.
