OBITUARY: Bonnie J. Torsch

Bonnie J. Torsch, age 70, of Reedsville, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Theda Care Medical Center in Appleton, after a short battle with cancer, surrounded by her family.


Bonnie was born on April 23, 1948 in Brown County, daughter of the late Lester and Mildred (Eichhorst) Koerth.  She was a graduate of Brillion High School, class of 1966.  On September 7, 1968, she married Gary Torsch at Faith United Methodist Church in Brillion.  The couple celebrated 50 years of marriage this year.  Bonnie was employed with Mirro Foley in Manitowoc until this closed.  After that, she worked at various other places until her retirement.  She enjoyed hummingbirds and cardinals, watching her grandchildren in their sporting events, and loved spending time with her family.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Gary of Reedsville; two daughters and sons-in-law: Tammy (Darrel) Haen of Appleton and Tanya (Tim) Polifka of Potter; four grandchildren: Kayla and Katelyn Haen and Dylan and Spencer Garcia; three sisters and four brothers-in-law: Sandy (Ken) Schisel of Manitowoc, Terrie (Darrell) Fischer of Brillion, Vickie (Jeff) Krahn of Chilton, and William “Bill” Torsch of Manitowoc; one brother and three sisters-in-law: Larry(Annika) Koerth of Menomonie, WI, Carol Koerth of California and Patricia (Donald “Butch”) Zietlow of Manitowoc; godsons: Tyler Kurtz and Joey Schisel; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Louis and Hildegard (Schechter) Torsch, two sisters: Darlene Eichhorst and Kathy Bandy, one brother: Darwin “Skip” Koerth, sister-in-law: Jane Torsch, and other in-laws.

Funeral Service will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville.  Officiating will be the Rev. Darin Aiden.  Burial will be on Wednesday in Knollwood Memorial Garden, Town of Kossuth.

Friends may call at the church on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 5:00 p.m.
