OBITUARY: Carolyn Garfield

Carolyn Garfield, age 86, of Brillion, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.

Carolyn was born on September 11, 1935 in Neenah, daughter of the late Arnold and Florence (Beck) Schmalz. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s Catholic School in Menasha, class of 1954. On January 12, 1957, she married Ronald Garfield in Menasha. He preceded her in death on June 2, 2007. The couple shared many wonderful years together.

Carolyn is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law: Deb & Steve Thuecks and Paula & Dwane Kalies, all of Brillion; grandchildren: Derek (Suzanne) Thuecks of Maryland, Dana (Dave) Jerabek of Winneconne, Jamin (Chelsie) Thuecks of Wisconsin Rapids, Shannon (Matt) Eckert of De Pere, Whitney (Sean) Mcmonigle of De Pere, Ben Kalies of USAF England, and Jesse (Daisha Vanoverbeke) Kalies of Brillion; great-grandchilden: Dottie, Gretel, Liesel, Jonathon, Jaelyn, Abram, Darren, Lewyn, Miles, Hailey, Malaya, Wyatt, Emma, and Levi; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ron; one great-granddaughter: Heidi Laure Jerabek; siblings, in-laws, and other relatives.

Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at the Pielhop Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion. Officiating will be Deacon Greg Van Thiel. Burial will be in Brillion Community Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 3:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
