Debra “Deb” Koerth, age 66, died unexpectedly on Thursday July 26, 2018, while caring for her horse in Winchester.
She was born on August 17, 1951 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Orlo and Faith (Ziegler) Koerth. Deb was a 1969 graduate of Brillion High School and received her Bachelors Degree from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse. She furthered her education and earned her Masters Degree from Northern Arizona University. She taught at Brillion Public Schools for many years until her retirement. Deb loved to travel, ride her Goldwing, snowmobile and her horse, but most of all; she loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of St. Bartholomew Lutheran Church in Brillion, where she served on the church council, and was also on the board of directors for Deer Run Snow Riders.
Survivors include her brothers, Gary (Alice) Koerth, Joel (Connie) Koerth all of Brillion, her nephews and nieces, Jason, Laura, Aaron, Tyler and Nicole and many other special family members and friends. Deb was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 1 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Lutheran Church, 105 Horn St. in Brillion. The Rev. Mark Krueger will officiate. Burial will be in the Brillion Community Cemetery. Visitation will take place at the church on Tuesday July 31 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and then again at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Online condolences may be made at www.wieting-funeralhome.com
