OBITUARY: Donald R. Schultz Sr.

Donald R. Schultz Sr. age 82, of Brillion, died on Monday January 23, 2017, at Garrow Villa in Brillion.

He was born on July 2, 1934, in Cooperstown, son of the late Herbert and Matilda (Treichel) Schultz. On July 30, 1954, Don married Caroline Eckert at Morrison. He worked at the Brillion Iron Works for 42 years until his retirement. He loved watching his kids and grandkids drag race and stock car race, going to North Dakota to prairie dog hunt and playing with his great grandkids. Survivors include 2 daughters, Gail (Dave) Pawlak of Menasha, Gay Lynn Ruh of Brillion, 5 sons, Don Jr. (Brenda) Schultz of Brillion, Jim Schultz of Brillion, Bob (Sandy) Schultz of Reedsville, Doug (Laura) Schultz of Reedsville, Mike Schultz of Brillion; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer, Melissa, Abby, Max, Brad, Danielle, David, Mike, Randi and Jonathan and 7 great grandchildren, Garrett, Aubree, Logan, Landon, Gavin, Jack and Eric and many other relatives and friends. Don was preceded in death by his wife on December 23, 2006 and a brother Ron. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion. Pastor Dale Eggert will officiate. Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Morrison. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until Noon with the funeral to follow at 12:30.
