Edwin E. Voeltz, age 89, of Reedsville, died on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center in Manitowoc.
He was born on December 4, 1927 in the Town of Maple Grove, son of the late William and Ida (Mack) Voeltz. He married Barbara Einberger on May 31, 1956 in Clarks Mills. He served in the U.S. Army at Fort Lewis and Fort Knox as a mechanic. After his military service, he and his wife farmed in the Town of Maple Grove. He also worked part time at Pauley Cheese Co. Edwin liked to hunt, fish, play sheepshead, feeding and watching the birds. He was a member of St. John St. James Lutheran in Reedsville, the Reedsville AMVETS Post 1032, the Reedsville Sportsman’s Club, Rockea Hunting Club, and the West Maple Grove Hunting Club.
Survivors include his children, Edwin E. Voeltz Jr. of Owosso MI, Jeffrey J. (Laura) Voeltz of Reedsville, Beverly B. (Tom) Eichhorst of Reedsville, Benjamin L. Voeltz of Brillion, his grandchildren, Emily (Ryan) Olson, Stefanie (Nathan) Stamper, Stacie Voeltz, Daniel Voeltz and fiancé Nicole, Jessica Behnke and special friend Blair, Corey Behnke and great granddaughter Jordyn. Edwin was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Barbara on November 17, 1999 and a brother William.
Private family services were held and burial was in the Westside Cemetery, Reedsville.
