OBITUARY: Gerald N. Eickert

Gerald N. Eickert, age 77 of Brillion, died unexpectedly at his home, on Wednesday April 4, 2018.


He was born on September 5, 1940 in Chilton, son of the late William and Holdena (Hackbarth) Eickert. He married Bonita Dallmann on April 12, 1969 in Rantoul. Gerald farmed in the Town of Rantoul his entire life. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, watching golf, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion.

Survivors include his wife Bonita, his children, Kari (Rick) Dammerich of Mackville, Connie (Roberto) DeLaTorre of Hilbert, Jeffrey (Serena) Eickert of Brillion, Colleen Eickert of Kaukauna, 8 grandchildren, Helena, Nyah, Joseph, Ameilia, Riley, Brooke, Sienna and Aiden, 2 brothers, Robert (Dolores) Eickert and Ronald (Glenda) Eickert all of Brillion, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roger (Diane) Krueger of Athelstane, Joe (Debbie) Pethan of Crivitz, Denise Dallmann of Rantoul and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Jordan and a sister and brother-in-law, Charmaine (Harvey) Waack. Father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roland and Edna (Federwitz) Dallmann, a sister-in-law Charlotte Seahawer and brother-in-law Ronald “Horton” Dallmann.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion. The Rev. Ross Henzi will officiate. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Sunday at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and then at the church on Monday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Online condolences may be made at www.wieting-funeralhome.com
