Gerald Wallace Pfluger, 94, passed away on November 28, 2020 in Richmond, VA following a series of medical challenges.

Gerry was born July 4, 1926 to the late John S. Pfluger and Violet (Nesper) Pfluger in Brillion. He attended St Mary’s grade school and graduated from Brillion High School in 1944. Gerry worked part time during the summer in the canning factory. His first full time job after High School was in the US Post Office which he left to join the US Army Air Corps. Upon discharge he returned to Brillion and worked for a short time at Ariens Corp. Gerry remained in the Air Force Reserves and completed several classes in Technical College which enabled him to secure a position as a book keeper at Pure Milk Products Dairy Cooperative in Fond du Lac. He eventually became head of the entire accounting group supervising 25+ employees. He was proud of his role in designing the layout of the new office building the firm built. This job then took him to the Chicago area.
Upon retirement in 1996, Gerry left the corporate world and moved to Richmond, VA to assist his brother Glenn by taking on the accounting duties at the family business. Gerry remained there taking annual trips back to Wisconsin visiting numerous friends along the way and bringing back his favorite cheese and sausage products for his Virginia family.
Gerry continued his faith-filled journey that began as an altar boy at St Mary’s by serving as a long term member of the Church of the Epiphany in Richmond, VA. Though not married, Gerry enjoyed spending time with his numerous nieces and nephews and revelled in his role of “favorite uncle” at family gatherings. He was as proud of their accomplishments as their parents!
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, John and Violet Pfluger, his sister Elleen Dietrich and brother-in-law Walter Dietrich, and niece Kristine Dietrich. He is survived by his brothers, Glenn Sr. of Midlothian, VA, and Clifford of San Francisco, CA, as well as nieces and nephews now scattered about the country: John, Ronald and Allen Dietrich, Mary Peters, Ann Klapperich, Glenn Jr., Paul, and John Pfluger and Theresa Stanfield.
