Jeffrey G. Eickert, age 53, of Rantoul, passed away unexpectedly from natural causes on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at his residence.

Jeff was born on August 1, 1972 in Chilton, son of the late Gerald and Bonita (Dallmann) Eickert. Jeff was a graduate of Brillion High School, Class of 1990. On September 9, 1995 he married the love of his life, Serena Schroth at Trinity EV. Lutheran Church in Brillion, and together recently celebrated 30 years of marriage.

Growing up on the family farm, he was instilled with a strong work ethic and a lifelong commitment to farming. Throughout his life he worked at Schneider Farms, Bob Vandaalwyk’s Farm, Hedrich Farms, Wenzel Hilltop Dairy, and then most recently worked at Riesterer & Schnell in Chilton. He also enjoyed helping at Midlakes Custom Services, Pleasant View Dairy, and any other place that could use an extra hand.

Jeff will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and of course, for his gift of gab. His story telling abilities and big hugs will certainly be missed.

Jeff was an avid member of the community and spent many years serving on the Potter Fire Department and coaching youth Potterball where he mentored hundreds of kids, including his own. Jeff enjoyed playing cards with friends, hunting, fishing, taking daily ranger rides out to the family woods with his wife, and attending every single one of his kids sporting events. He enjoyed spending as much time as he could with family, and made countless memories throughout the years on family vacations. He was a great father and an equally great grandfather. He loved being “Papa Eickert” to his grandson, Keegan, and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of his second grandson due this upcoming May. Jeff was a true example of what a husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend should be.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Serena; his children: Riley (Travis) Stever, Brooke (Nick) Ditter, Sienna and Aiden; grandchildren: Keegan Stever and Baby Boy Ditter; his mother-in-law and step-father-in-law: Colette “Collie” & Tom Thurwachter; his siblings: Kari (Rick) Dammerich, Connie (Roberto) De La Torre, Colleen Eickert; his in-laws: Rob (special friend Jennifer) Schroth, Ashley Schroth, Rebecca Lynn, Aaron Thurwachter, and Tanya Schroth. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews: Helena, Nyah, Joseph, and Ameilia De La Torre, Bud and Nicotiana Schroth, Luvyanna and Kee Arts, Micah and Jonah Schupe, Novak and Paxton Thurwachter, and a great nephew: Leo Schroth. He was preceded in death by his parents: Gerald and Bonita Eickert; his father-in-law: Bud Schroth and his nephew: Jordan Dammerich.

Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Trinity EV. Lutheran Church, Brillion. Officiating at the Service will be the Rev. Ross Henzi and Rev. Nathan Moldenhauer with burial on Friday at Brillion Community Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends at Trinity EV.
