OBITUARY: Jerome J. Rataichek

Jerome J. Rataichek, age 76, of Reedsville, died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, December 8, 2018.

He was born on July 11, 1942 in Manitowoc, son of the late Theodore and Margaret (Leick) Rataichek. Jerome worked in the Rataichek Hardware Store in Reedsville for many years. In later years, he worked for the Reedsville Equity and the Village of Reedsville. Jerome liked to be out with friends, visiting and socializing whenever he could. He was a member of Holy Family Parish in Brillion and the Reedsville Holy Name Society.

Survivors include 2 brothers, Cletus (Emily) Rataichek of Brillion, Mike Rataichek of Hilbert and friend Mary Lou Krepline, a sister Mary Margaret (Ron) Wondrash of Mesa AZ and many nieces, nephews and friends. Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, his twin sister, Jeanette Brochtrup, sister-in-law Sharon Rataichek, a nephew Jeff Rataichek and niece Judy Brochtrup.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion. The Rev. Tom Pomeroy will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery, Reedsville. Visitation will take place at the church on Friday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Online condolences may be made at www.wieting-funeralhome.com
