OBITUARY: Joan F. Hephner

Joan F. Hephner, age 78, of Brillion, formerly of Hilbert passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Theda Care Regional Medical Center in Appleton.

She was born November 18, 1942 in Rantoul, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Clarence & Anna (Jentsch) Krueger. She married Philip Hephner on October 19, 1962; he preceded her in death in July of 2009.

Her faith and family was the foundation of her life, always enjoying the time spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, counting them all as blessings in her life.

In her free time, she enjoyed watching and feeding the birds and squirrels in her yard and enjoyed time spent tending to her flowers. When she wasn’t busy with that, you could find her crafting, coloring, putting together puzzles or watching a Lifetime Movie.

Joan is survived by her children: Marisa (Gary) Thiel, Marena Hephner (Chris Eichmeier), Maria (Doug) Schoen; her grandchildren: Hallie (Mark) Londre, Hannah (Joel) Schroeder, Hayden (Emily) Thiel, Hattie (Preston) Schwalenberg, Coty Gehl (Alyssa Cummins), Brandon (Marcy) Schoen, Taylor Schoen (Kyle Horst), Austin Schoen & his fiancée Carly Genske; her great grandchildren: Garrett, Grace, Jack, Atlee, Graham, Everett, Ruby, Letti, Jordyn, Adley, Reed & Lainey; a brother: Earl (LuAnn) Krueger; and a sister: Rovella Contreras. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Philip; 3 sisters and 5 brothers. Funeral service will be at 3:00 pm on Monday, August 16, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Rantoul (N6080 West River Road, Hilbert, Wisconsin) with Rev. Brett Simek officiating. Burial will be with her husband in the Brillion Community Cemetery in Brillion. Friends may call at the church from 1:00 pm until 2:45 pm on Monday, August 16, 2021.
