OBITUARY: Joanne (Krall) Sheehy

Joanne (Krall) Sheehy, age 88, died early Wednesday morning, April 5, 2017, at the Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers.

Joanne was born on July 7, 1928, in Valders, a daughter of Ed and Rose (Gintner) Krall. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic School in Clarks Mills and was a graduate of Valders High School with the class of 1946. She was united in marriage to Al Sheehy on June 10, 1950 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Clarks Mills. He preceded her in death on April 15, 2014.

After her marriage she became a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Maple Grove. She held various offices in St. Patrick’s Ladies Society and assisted with the special education religion classes. Joanne served as a girl scout leader for many years; and was a member of the Friends of St. Patrick. After the merger of several parishes, she became a member of Holy Family Parish in Brillion.

Prior to her marriage she was employed as a secretary at the Farm Bureau office in Valders. She was able to be a stay at home mom, and later worked at the Maple Crest outpatient department in Whitelaw. She loved being with family & friends, and enjoyed the simple things in life.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law: Debra and Donald Marsicek; son-in-law, Robert Denor; daughter-in-law, Cheri (Jon) Reavis; six grandchildren: Matt Sheehy, Kristen (Pat) Fay, Dana Redfield, Shaun (Sara) Denor, Erin (RJ) Mader, Meagan (Mark) Kiesow, and eight great grandchildren: Carter & Lucas Fay, Naavah & Hans Redfield, Aiden & Nora Denor, Evelyn Mader, and Ashton Kiesow. She is further survived by two sisters & a brother-in-law, Carol Salutz, and Jackie (Marvin) Brandl; three sisters-in-law, Alice Sheehy, Darlene Sheehy, and Joan Sheehy; seven god-children; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Rose Krall; her husband, Al Sheehy; a daughter, Judith Denor; her son, Jon Sheehy; one great grandson, Bo Redfield; her father & mother-in-law, John and Frances Sheehy; a brother, Eugene Krall; sisters and brothers-in-law, Beatrice Krall, Jenny (John) Fitzgerald, Audrey (Robert) Meissner, Larry Salutz; and other in-laws: Eileen (Charles) Bernier; and Robert, Harold, and Patrick Sheehy.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Brillion. Burial took place in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Maple Grove.
