Obituary: Karen Lynn Rogers

Karen Lynn Rogers, age 68, of Menasha, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her family.


Karen was born on February 4, 1957 in Fond du Lac, daughter of the late Hubert & Darlene (Erickson) Petrich.  She graduated high school in 1975.  She then served our country for 20 years in the United States Navy, the United States Army Reserve, and then the United States National Guard, ending her military career retiring from the guard.  She married Richard Rogers, Sr. on March 29, 1976 in San Diego, CA. They went on to have 3 wonderful children Richard Jr., David, and Barbara.  Later on in life, Karen spent time working at Professional Plating, where she made many great friends. Upon retirement from Professional Plating, Karen enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Karen also enjoyed spending time with her chocolate lab Bailey, when she wasn’t coloring or playing games.

She is survived by her two children: David (Robyn) Rogers and Barbara Piechowski; grandchildren: Austin, Addyson, Ashlynn, and Aeryn; siblings and in-laws: Jean (Robert) Molina, Jocelynn Culshaw, Candyce Bera, Tina (Dave) Olsen, Jodi Perry, Cindy Perich, Hubert Petrich, Jr., John Petrich, Cretta (Don) Burchard, Loretta (Tim) Valenta, and William (Debbie) Rogers, Jr.; special niece: Jessica Olp; special great-nephew: Jordan Lino-Olp; numerous other loving nieces & nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Richard Sr.; one son: Richard Jr.; Sister: Elizabeth (Butch) Olp: in-laws: Mark Rogers, Brian Bera, Sr., Dan Perry; and other relatives.

Memorial Service Time of Remembrance and Military Honors will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Pielhop Funeral Home in Brillion.  The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the remembrance.  Military Rites will be accorded by the Becker Bloedorn Jensen Post 126 of Brillion.  Burial will take place Monday July 14 at 10:00 a.m., at Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI.
