La Vonne L Olp (nee Behnke), age 73, of Reedsville, died Thursday October 27, 2016 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born February 14, 1943 to Elroy and Esther (Reinke) Behnke. Graduate of Brillion High School, class of 1960. La Vonne was employed at Leverenz Shoe of Valders, Brillion Cannery and retired from Ariens Company of Brillion in 2009 after over 25 years of loyal service. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Brillion, the Brillion Historical Society, Trinity’s Ladies Aid, Deer Run Sno Riders and the Reedsville Sno Drifters.
La Vonne especially enjoyed working at Ariens and volunteering with Ladies Aid.
She loved taking vacations with family and friends including snowmobile trips and time spent up north in Vilas County. She adored rummage sales and playing Sheepshead with the card club. However her pride and joy was her grandchildren, cheering them on at many sporting events.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin; a son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Suzanne Olp; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and David Fronsee; grandchildren, Alyssa Olp and Tyler Olp; 2 sisters, Barbara (James) Burich and Betty (John) Blatz, a brother, Lyle (Linda) Behnke, her mother-in-law, Rosie Olp, brother-in-laws, Norman Olp and Arlan (Patricia) Olp, sister-in-laws, Mary Fenlon and Carol Olp, many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Elroy, mother, Esther, father-in-law Harold Olp, brother-in-law Arnold Olp, brother-in-law Pat Fenlon, sister-in-law Sandra Olp, sister-in-law Judy Olp, family friend, Ruth (Tootie) Lawler.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday October 30, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion. The Rev. Thomas Fricke will officiate. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Brillion. Visitation will be held Sunday October 30th from1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion. Funeral services will be at 3pm.
