Margaret “Honey” Schley age 86 of Forest Junction went home peacefully to her lord and savior with her family at her side on Sunday, November 26, 2017.
Honey was born on April 13, 1931 in Appleton the daughter of the late Arthur and Frances (Sternagel) Noffke. She graduated from Appleton High School. On February 11, 1950, Honey married the love of her life Clyde Schley, and they shared 62 years together before his death on June 27, 2012. Honey worked out of her home as a dog groomer. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, loved music, singing (especially around the campfire), camping, being outdoors, crocheting, woodworking, making hand crafted gifts for her loved ones, and watching her favorite baseball team the Milwaukee Brewers. Honey was a devoted Christian who loved her church and her lord and savior. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Forest Junction where she spend many years as the church choir director and signing in the church choir. Honey shared her artistic talents by decorating the church each Christmas and for family weddings.
Honey is survived by her five children; Otto (Nancy) Schley, Paul (Peggy) Schley, Sandy (Steve) Eickert, Lori (Bob) Gosz, and Cheri (Steve) Vande Yacht. 12 Grandchildren; Monica (Stephen) Schildbach, Andrew (Rachael) Schley, David (Beverly) Schley, Timothy (special friend Megan Pepper) Schley, Lea (Tyler) Gill, Amanda (Neil) Wait, Nicole (Tony) Van Straten, Kimberly (Eric) Tiegs, Matthew (Erica) Eickert, Crystal (Dustin) Becker, Amber (special friend Kevin Jackson) Gosz, and Cole Vande Yacht. 17 great-grandchildren; Zephyr, Dorian, Jude, Grace, Victor, Naomi, Cassandra, Rebecca, Natalie, Rachel, Victoria, Christopher, Madilyn, Addison, Brooks, Keyonce’, Kiavonni, and two on the way. One brother-in-law; Leo (Izzie) Huelsbeck, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Honey was preceded in death by her husband Clyde; her parents Arthur and Frances Noffke, father-in-law and mother-in-law Otto and Leona Schley, brothers and sisters; Ruth (Wilber “Moon”) Frederick, Roy (Lorraine) Noffke, Ralph “Bucky” (Dorothy) Noffke, Pearl “Pearlie” (Ray) Holschbach, Sherman “Shim” (Eileen Noffke-Deno) Noffke, Harold “Teenie” Noffke, Bernice “Toostie” Huelsbeck and Jean “Jenner” (Ronald “Bud”) Wydeven.
The Christian funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Zion United Methodist Church in Forest Junction. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Sang You. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 11:00 am – 1:30 pm followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Forest Home Cemetery.
