Michael A. Wittmann, age 45, of Brillion, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, September 1, 2018.
Mike was born on June 15, 1973 in Neenah, son of Lee and Lina “Lin” (Jensen) Wittmann. He was a graduate of Brillion High School, class of 1992. He worked at various places including the Brillion Iron Works, Vande Yacht Pumping, Dairyland Pest Control, and Waylyn Trucking. Mike enjoyed hunting, camping, cooking, hanging out with ‘Stan’ on Sunday Funday, visiting his parents in Athelstane, sturgeon spearing, and spending time with friends and his pal Otis. He was a volunteer firefighter with the City of Brillion Fire Department for a number of years. Mike loved his girls, and he did anything he could for them.
Mike is survived by his daughters: Grace, Greta, and Nora; their mother, Kate; his parents: Lee and Lin; his sister and brother-in-law: Michelle (Jamie) Kilgas; nephews and niece: Cole, Clara, and Garrett Kilgas; aunts and uncles: Rita Wittmann, Natalie Prahl, Faye (Steve) Dragosh, Don (Barb) Wittmann, Deede (Rev. Darrel) Bergelin; Kate’s parents: Ralph and Mary Dusenbery and their family; cousins, and special friends: Mike “Stan” Zirbel and Jessi Gast.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Alfred and Ann (Wenzel) Wittmann and Norman and Mimi (Fisch) Jensen; two uncles, Allen and Wayne Wittmann; and two cousins: Peter Dragosh and David Wittmann.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Faith United Methodist Church in Brillion. Officiating will be Rev. Dale Eggert.
Friends may call at the church on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 11:15 a.m.
