Obituary: Michael “Mike” Alfred Eichhorst

Michael “Mike” Alfred Eichhorst passed away, Sunday, February 26th, at home surrounded by his loving family, after battling multiple health issues. Mike was born August 27th, 1953 to Alfred and Sylvia (nee Siebert) Eichhorst, in Green Bay, WI. Mike was baptized into Christian faith at Morrison Zion Lutheran Church and also confirmed into the Christian faith at Morrison on March 19th, 1967. He attended Wrightstown schools until 1971.



On May 8th, 1982, he married Hollie Bintz. He was a member of the Morrison Fire Department, enjoyed Thursday night Men’s Bowling league at Wayside Lanes, Wine parties and Liver fry’s, and Friday night Card clubs with their friends. Above all, Mike was a man of faith and enjoyed sharing that faith with his wife and children. Mike and Hollie owned and operated Vier Ecken Farms since 1992. After retirement from farming, Mike worked for Joe Daul and Wayside Dairy; he enjoyed driving tractors and working land.


Mike took great pride in his grandchildren, making sure to attend all their events. Mike would do anything for his family and friends, and was always there to lend a helping hand. Mike is survived by his wife, Hollie , his beloved yellow lab, Taxi, and their children: Evan Borths, Kayla (Jeremiah) Fritsch, Matthew Eichhorst, Tessa Eichhorst, and Andrea Kohler, grandchildren: Haillee and Sawyer Fristch and Kyle Kohler. He is further survived by his siblings: Barbara and Jerry Klug, Linda and Chuck Skenandore, Bev and Nick Beno, Susan and Jr Roehrborn, John and Barb Eichhorst, Jim and Sheryl Eichhorst, Ron and Connie Eichhorst, and Michelle Devroy (whom is also his goddaughter). Hollie’s siblings: Carla and Richard Gerndt, Brad Bintz, Karen Bintz, and Paul and MaryAnne Kust. He is further survived by his godmother and Aunt Eunice Siebert, Aunt Verona Eichhorst ,and his godsons Cody Aude and Jeremy Roehrborn, and many friends, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Sylvia Eichhorst, mother and father in law, Harry and Fay Bintz, brothers Frederick and Kenneth, brother in law, Brian Bintz, and his godfathers, Howard Eichhorst and Gordan Siebert.


Visitation services will be held Friday, March 3rd from 4-7 pm at Morrison Zion Lutheran Church (7395 Cty Road W, Greenleaf, WI). Visitation will continue at Morrison Zion Lutheran Church Saturday, March 4th starting at 9 am until 11:45 am. Funeral service will begin at 12 pm, with Pastor Randy Ott officiating.
