OBITUARY: Ronald “Ron” M. Schultz

Ronald “Ron” M. Schultz, 75, Shawano, was called to be with his Lord on Friday, March 17, 2017 with his family by his side.

He was born on August 19, 1941, in Manitowoc to Milton and Wilma (Plantico) Schultz.  Ron proudly served with the U.S. Army in Berlin Germany.  On June 15, 1963, he married Hilda Leslie in Berlin.

Ron’s strong work ethic and vision led him to founding Hometown Insurance Agency in Brillion and Shawano.  Although Ron was dedicated to his clients, he knew where his heart was – his family.  He loved to spend time snowmobiling, boating and traveling with them.

Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Hilda; his daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Dave Couillard; his son, Timothy Schultz; his beautiful granddaughter, Elena Schultz; his sister and brother-in-law, Valerie and Bill Kocian; and his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister and brother-in-law, Marlene and Paul Bialek.

A Celebration of Ron’s well lived life and Sharing of Memories will be held at 1951 West/Rock Garden, 1951 Bond St., Green Bay, from 12 noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 8.  A sharing of memories will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday.  Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family.  To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Ron’s name to benefit Divine Savior Lutheran Church in Shawano.

A special thank you is extended to our many fellow snowmobilers and boating buddies who helped keep Ron young but couldn’t keep up!  To every friend and family member we were blessed to have for 53 years of our married life.
